Address skepticism and establish a comparison point

Dilemma: Many brands claim during their launch or promotion that their offer is available for a huge discount.

The problem is, many brands don’t prove it. Their product or program is only sold during the promotion and then their sales page is hidden the rest of the year.

But how can you claim your offer is discounted when it’s never even offered at full price?

Solution: Make a full price version of your sales page available on your website.

Give people the opportunity to double check that your launch offer really is as special as you claim.

3 Ideas to Implement

1

Highlight what’s included

People are likely going to visit your full price page throughout the year when exploring your website. Use this opportunity to educate them on what’s included in your program so they already understand the value when offered the discount later.

Real-world Example: On the full price sales page for their Million Dollar Year program, Dow Janes highlights all the components included in the offer.

2

Simplify the offer

If your promotional offer is more complicated, you don’t have to make people figure it out. Especially if they’re only casually browsing more for information. Keep it simple until it’s time for them to make a purchasing decision, then lay it all out.

Real-world Example: On their special launch sales page, Positive Parenting Solutions highlights that each level of their program includes a free upgrade to a higher tier. While on their full price page, they simply highlight what’s included in the highest tier.

3

Make an apples-to-apples comparison

Keep both versions of your page consistent so that potential customers don’t have to do any extra work.

Real-world Example: Julie Solomon offers a 33% discount as part of a webinar-only deal, which she highlights on the discounted version of her sales page.
